Goat Creek, Canmore
This is an easy 18km trail if you start from Canmore. A good way to ride from Canmore to Banff one way. You can take this trail on the way back or ride a paved Legacy trail.
Moose Mountain, Bragg Creek
A very popular destination for people who live in Calgary and surrounding areas. Only a 40 minute drive from Calgary, Bragg Creek offers hundreds of kilometers of single track.
Race of Spades is a popular trail in the area.
Highline Trail System, Canmore
Highline trail is a very fun and somewhat challenging XC trail by Canmore and has a couple of connector trails that go directly into the city. One of the popular trail heads is at Quarry Off-leash Dog park.
Strathcona Science Park, Edmonton
One of the most popular bike areas in the city, the Science Park has some of the funnest and most challenging trails in the city.
Valley of the Five Lakes
Close by Jasper, this is one of the best valley bottom trails in the area. By being a loop, the trail can be taken on any direction, but most riders recommend heading south at the beginning. This trail will entertain seasoned riders and challenge the most novice ones quite a bit.
